Nehemiah Housing Ends Year with Growth in Wolverhampton

 

 

 

Nehemiah Housing Association, is ending 2018 on a high, having this week taken ownership of 118 properties in Wolverhampton, after completing a competitive bid process to take ownership of the properties from PA Housing.This takes Nehemiah’s portfolio to 1243 homes in the West Midlands and includes 492 properties across Wolverhampton for single people and families, McCalla House Retirement scheme in Graiseley and Seacole Court Young families scheme in Whitmore Reams and the newly acquired Shanti Niketan 26 bedroom sheltered scheme in Blakenhall from PA Housing. PA Housing, which owns and manages over 23,000 properties across the Midlands, London, Home Counties and the South East, took the decision to rationalise their housing stock and to review their geographical areas.

 Commenting on this PA Housing Chief Operating Officer Matt Cooney said:

“We are pleased to have worked with Nehemiah Housing on this transfer. Following review of the geographical areas where we operate, we took the opportunity to rationalise our stock holding, but we wanted to ensure we still offered the highest quality services to our customers. Nehemiah, through its local connections and cultural awareness, will be able to provide a brilliant service to our former tenants, and we wish everyone well for the future.”
