Let’s Work Together For A Brighter Future

Many of our tenants work with us on the Tenant Scrutiny Panel and by doing so, we are able to achieve more and continually improve both the housing and services we offer all tenants.

What is the Tenant Scrutiny Panel?

The Tenant Scrutiny Panel (TSP) consists of ? tenants whose job it is to investigate and scrutinise the Nehemiah’s services and policies.

The Tenant Scrutiny Panel works alongside us to review how our housing service is delivered. They will gather evidence, investigate and make recommendations for improvement.

The Tenant Scrutiny Panel monitors the implementation of these recommendations and also monitors how our services have improved.

They are keen to hear from other tenants to listen to their experiences of Nehemiah Housing and to hear their ideas for improving the service.

Who are the members of the Tenant Scrutiny Panel?

I’ve been a tenant with Nehemiah for 14 years, and during that time, I’ve been the main point of contact for where I live. I’ve supported tenants with a range of issues, from maintenance concerns and complaints to general day-to-day challenges.

Through my involvement, I started attending tenant meetings and sharing important information with the other tenants in my community. This led to me being invited to join the scrutiny panel last year. A voice for the tenants. I’ve always been passionate about making a difference, especially with the community and I believe that everyone deserves to have their voice heard and be part of positive change.

What has the Tenant Scrutiny Panel been doing?

If you have a little more time to spare and would like to opt-in to assisting one of our meetings or would like to discuss a particular topic, simply register an interest with us to take part. There are lots of other ways you can get involved too – take a look here or have a look below at some of the recent activities that the Tenant Scrutiny Panel members have been involved with.

Some of our tenants helped to organise the Tenants Conference. They also took part in the speakers panel during the conference talking about key issues that are important to tenants.

As an organisation when we review our policies we consult with all our tenants and The Tenant Scrutiny Panel members have recently reviewed our corporate strategy, our marketing communication strategy and our customer engagement strategy.

Our Tenant Scrutiny Panel have been part of the interview panel process for our recent recruitment of new maintenance contractors.
