Let’s Do One Thing For Talk Money Week
Posted on: 04 Nov 24
Nehemiah is supporting this year’s Talk Money Week and encouraging everyone to make the most of this week by talking to family and friends about money – and to do one thing that could make a difference when it comes to financial wellbeing.
Taking place between 4 – 8 November, this year’s theme for Talk Money Week is Do One Thing – do just one thing during this event that might help to improve your financial wellbeing on a longer-term basis.
What Is Talk Money Week?
Talk Money Week is an opportunity to talk about money and to get involved in the various events and activities that are running across the UK.
It’s not always easy to talk about money, especially with the current cost-of-living pressures on our lives. However, by talking about our finances, we will likely feel better about our situation, be able to help others, and access any support that is needed.
Why Get Involved With Talk Money Week 2024?
From talking to your children or younger siblings about pocket money to tackling the topic of pensions, we can all benefit from being more open and willing to talk about money.
The activities that run during this week encourage people to have more conversations about their money situation – and there are plenty of reasons to get involved.
Research shows that there are multiple benefits of talking about money and being open about finances, including:
- You’re more likely to make better financial decisions
- You’re less likely to take financial risks
- You’ll build better personal relationships
- You’ll be able to help your kids create healthy money habits
- You’ll reduce your stress levels as a result of being proactive
- You’ll feel more in control of your finances
