Llewellyn Graham Showcases Nehemiah Housing at African Diaspora Christian Conference in Jamaica
The 2026 African Diaspora Christian Conference brought together faith leaders, entrepreneurs, professionals, and changemakers from across Africa and the global Diaspora for three days of collaboration, worship, and practical action. Held in Montego Bay, Jamaica, from 29 April to 1 May, the conference focused on the theme “Building Bridges to Oneness, Prosperity, and Generosity.”

Among the many speakers at this event was Llewellyn Graham, Chief Executive of Nehemiah Housing Association, who spoke during the impactful session titled Impact in Action.
The session was designed to spotlight “real, working models that are creating tangible impact, moving from ideas to implementation,” making Nehemiah Housing a fitting example of faith-driven community transformation in practice.
Turning Faith Into Action
During his presentation, Llewellyn shared how Nehemiah Housing has become more than a housing provider. Rooted in Christian values and community empowerment, the organisation has built a reputation for supporting vulnerable communities while creating pathways to stability, dignity, and opportunity.
His contribution aligned strongly with the conference’s wider emphasis on practical solutions and Kingdom-centred leadership. The conference programme repeatedly highlighted the importance of moving “from conversation to action” through innovation hubs, collaboration, and real-world initiatives.
By showcasing Nehemiah Housing’s work, Llewellyn demonstrated how housing can become a vehicle for social impact, community regeneration, and long-term transformation.
A Model of Community Impact
Nehemiah Housing’s work reflects the type of action-oriented leadership the conference sought to inspire. The organisation has consistently combined practical support with compassion, particularly within underserved communities.
This commitment was recently seen in Nehemiah Housing’s support for Jamaica following hurricane devastation, where the organisation sponsored aid shipments to affected communities and encouraged wider business and church involvement in relief efforts.
That same spirit of service resonated throughout the African Diaspora Christian Conference, which positioned itself not simply as an event, but as “a Diaspora movement” committed to unity, collaboration, and measurable change.
Connecting the Diaspora Through Shared Purpose
Hosted by African Diaspora Christian Conference in partnership with Operation Save Jamaica and the African Forum on Religion and Government (AFReG), the gathering created space for leaders from the Caribbean, Africa, the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, and Latin America to explore solutions in business, education, health, faith, and community development.
Sessions throughout the conference challenged attendees to embrace self-determination, collaborative leadership, and sustainable transformation. Llewellyn’s presentation embodied those ideals by offering a tangible example of how faith-based organisations can create lasting social impact.
Building Bridges Beyond the Conference
The Impact in Action session reminded attendees that meaningful change requires more than discussion. It requires organisations willing to implement solutions, build partnerships, and remain committed to communities over the long term.
For many delegates, Nehemiah Housing represented exactly that — a model where faith, leadership, and practical service intersect to create measurable outcomes.
As the conference concluded with calls for collective action and ongoing collaboration, Llewellyn’s message reinforced a central theme of the event: transformation happens when vision is matched with implementation.
