Nehemiah’s Macmillan Coffee Mornings Raise £1383.21

We are happy to report that the Macmillan Coffee Mornings we held last year raised £1,383.21 for the cancer charity.

Nehemiah Housing hosted the coffee mornings on various dates in September and October 2023, at our retirement living locations in Wolverhampton, Dudley, Birmingham, and Walsall, as well as in our office, and raised £1,383.21 in total for Macmillan.

Macmillan Coffee Mornings

Every year, Macmillan encourages individuals and organisations to host their own coffee mornings to raise money for the charity. This fundraising helps those living with cancer and supports Macmillan’s important work.

During September and October last year, everyone involved at Nehemiah hosted a Macmillan coffee morning at our retirement schemes, including at McCalla House, Nehemiah Court, Henry Court, Shanti Niketan, and Charles Pearson Court.

The coffee mornings at our housing schemes raised an incredible £875.21.

In addition, Marcia, Audrey and Bernie organised a coffee morning in the Nehemiah Housing office, which raised £254. This amount was matched by Nehemiah to add another £254 to make the grand total of £1,383.21.

We are proud to have taken part in last year’s Macmillan Coffee Mornings fundraising initiative and to have done our bit to support this fantastic charity, helping to fund Macmillan nurses and to support the charity in its day-to-day running.

What Can Nehemiah Do To Help?

At Nehemiah, our tenants are at the heart of all we do and we work hard to ensure we meet the needs of all our tenants. We provide comfortable, affordable homes in caring communities, so every tenant can feel valued and supported.

It was lovely to see so many of our tenants and their friends and relatives at our coffee mornings last autumn, and to raise lots of money for Macmillan and make a real difference to the lives of individuals living with cancer.
