Let’s Celebrate Black History Month 2025 This October

We’re delighted to be supporting and celebrating this year’s Black History Month, which runs between 1st and 31st October.

We would love as many of our tenants as possible to join us to help raise awareness of this important month and to use the time to truly celebrate, acknowledge and reflect on the incredible contributions and achievements of Black people to British society – and to Britain throughout history.

What Is Black History Month?

Black History Month is an annual month-long celebration, recognition and reflection, of the important and impressive achievements and contributions of Black people in Britain and around the world.

This year’s theme is “Standing Firm in Power and Pride”. A powerful tribute to the resilience, strength and commitment to progress that defines the Black community globally, the theme for Black History Month 2025 highlights the profound contributions made by Black people – be they world leaders, activists or pioneers – who’ve shaped history, combined with the desire to look to the future of continued empowerment, unity and growth.

Will You Join Us For Black History Month 2025?

Black History Month is celebrated in local communities and workplaces across the UK – and we’re proud to say that all of us at Nehemiah will be celebrating. Will you join us?

We’d like as many of our tenants as possible to come together during this year’s event throughout October to support this important initiative – and support one another and our communities in the process.

There will be events running across the Midlands this October to mark Black History Month, including music, poetry, comedy and more, taking place in Birmingham, Coventry, Wolverhampton and Warwickshire.
