Supporting Talk Money Week 3-7 November 2025
Posted on: 03 Nov 25
We’re pleased to be supporting and celebrating this year’s Talk Money Week, taking place between 3rd and 7th November.
This event is a fantastic opportunity for as many of our tenants as possible to join in with – to start a conversation with a loved one or friend about finances and start to feel better about money.
What Is Talk Money Week?
Talk Money Week is an annual campaign designed to encourage people to have more open conversations about finances – with the aim that this then continues year-round.
The theme for 2025 is ‘Start The Conversation’. This year’s campaign wants people to engage with others and talk about money, whether that is chatting to a partner about budgeting ideas, seeking professional pension advice, or speaking to a kid about saving their pocket money.
Throughout the week 3rd to 7th November, there will be activities and events for individuals to get involved with across the UK. Often, it’s taking the first step that is the hardest and Money Talk Week exists to help people take the initial step and start talking about money – and start feeling better about finances.
You can read about this year’s theme in greater detail on the Money & Pension Service’s website, here.
Will You Join Us For Talk Money Week 2025?
All of us here at Nehemiah will be supporting this year’s Talk Money Week, as we know how important it is to discuss money openly. By talking about your finances, not only will you feel better but you’ll also be able to access any help that’s needed or able to help others.
We want as many of our tenants as possible to join us during the week of 3rd to 7th November, to help start the conversation about money.
Research shows that individuals who are able to talk about money, benefit a great deal.
Some of the benefits of having a conversation about finances, include:
- Managing financial decisions better
- Taking fewer risky money decisions
- Building closer relationships with family and friends
- Supporting their children to develop good money habits
- Reducing money-related worries
- Feeling more in control
Nehemiah Is Here To Help & Support
We want all our tenants to live in affordable and comfortable homes, and to feel supported in their communities. This is why we’re encouraging as many of our tenants as possible to open up and seek help or to help others during Talk Money Week, by chatting to family and friends about money matters.
To get involved or to speak to us about any money-related worries you have, you can contact Birmingham Settlement, a Birmingham-based charity we work with to support our tenants. Alternatively, you can contact your Housing Officer or call us on 0121 358 0966 or email contact@nehemiah.co.uk and we will do all we can to help.
