Get Involved During This Year’s National Careers Week!

Posted on: 03 Mar 25

Everyone at Nehemiah is excited for this year’s National Careers Week (NCW) and we want all our tenants and their families to get involved in the activities taking place during NCW2025, which runs from 3rd to 8th March.

What Is National Careers Week?

National Careers Week is a one-week celebration of all-things careers – from guidance activities through to free resources in education – across the UK.

The week focuses on careers guidance at an important time in the academic calendar and is designed to help support young people develop an awareness, understanding and excitement about possible future career opportunities.

NCW runs every year and has at its heart a virtual careers fair, which can be accessed here.

In the West Midlands you can follow The National Careers Service West Midlands on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/CareersWestMids/ They will be sharing a range of job opportunities across Birmingham, Solihull, Black Country, Coventry and Warwickshire on Tuesday 4 March during their own regional careers fair. Register your place here.

Who Is National Careers Week For?

National Careers Week is for all young people in education, as well as education providers and partner organisations who want to share insights into careers choices and the world of employment. By gaining a greater understanding of job options and opportunities, young people can make better decisions about their future.

Get involved and consider a career in housing

We are encouraging all our tenants and their families to make the most of NCW2025 and get involved with the virtual careers fair and available resources during the week, 3rd to 8th March.

It’s a great opportunity to find out about career choices and the different jobs available in the world of work.

If you’ve ever considered a career in housing, we’d love to hear from you. Nehemiah employs around 30 members of staff and is committed to attracting and retaining the best people. We value equality, diversity and respect at work, and provide a friendly and supportive working environment together with rewarding careers.

When asked why she chose a career in housing our Community Partnership & Engagement Officer Marcia Cunnison said “I choose a career in housing because of the desire to make a tangible difference in people’s lives. Working within tenant engagement I am faced constantly with evolving, complex challenges that require creative solutions. This gives me an opportunity to develop innovative approaches to address our tenant needs.”
