We’re Supporting Mental Health Awareness Week 2025 This May

Posted on: 09 May 25

We’re delighted to be supporting this year’s Mental Health Awareness Week, taking place between 12th and 18th May.

At Nehemiah, we fully appreciate the importance of staying connected within a supportive community and the vital role this plays in helping people to maintain good mental health.

We would like as many as possible of our tenants to get involved during the week 12th to 18th May, to take part in the activities, to celebrate our communities and to enjoy and support one another – and encourage positive mental health.

What Is Mental Health Awareness Week?

Since 2001, the Mental Health Foundation has been leading the weekly campaign to bring the UK together in a bid to achieve good mental health.

Every year, millions of people from every part of our society take part, including schools, higher education, businesses and organisations, as well as families and individuals.

What Happens During Mental Health Awareness Week 2025?

This year’s Mental Health Awareness Week has the theme of Community and has been designed around celebrating the power and importance of community.

By being part of a community, connected and supported, people feel a sense of belonging, purpose, safety and wellbeing. Community connections enable people to feel part of something and escape the feeling of being alone.

Community supports your mental health and there will be plenty of opportunities to join in during the week of 12th to 18th May and celebrate the power of community. There will be plenty of advice and information on the importance of community, as well as inspiring stories across the UK and ways to get involved with activities and events.

Nehemiah Is Here To Help & Support

We design our comfortable, safe homes around a supportive community as we understand the importance of connections – we know that by staying connected socially in our local areas and with family and friends, people are more likely to be happy, physically healthy and with few mental health issues than those who are less connected socially.

We want all our tenants to stay connected within their communities, which is why we have lots of measures in place to look after people’s wellbeing and ensure everyone feels cared for and comfortable in their homes.

If you’d like to speak to us about Mental Health Awareness Week or any concerns you have about your or a loved one’s mental wellbeing, you can contact your Housing Officer or call us on 0121 358 0966 or email contact@nehemiah.co.uk and we will do all we can to help.
