Supporting ASB Awareness Week 2025
Posted on: 29 Jun 25
We are proud supporters of this year’s Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) Awareness Week, taking place between 30th June and 6th July – and want to use it as an opportunity to involve our tenants and to collectively raise awareness of people’s rights surrounding anti-social behaviour and the help that is available.
Nehemiah is a housing association with a big heart. We know what a devastating impact anti-social behaviour can have on an individual’s life as well as their family and wider community. This is why we have a no-nonsense approach to anti-social behaviour in our communities and why we are here to support you or your loved ones if you are a victim of ASB.
What Is ASB Awareness Week 2025?
ASB Awareness Week is run by Resolve and supported nationally by government, police and fire forces, Historic England, housing providers across the country, local authorities, and community groups.
This year’s theme is #MakingCommunitiesSafer and the campaign is focussing on 4 main asks:
- Guaranteed support for ASB victims
- Solve delays within the justice system
- One national Information Sharing Agreement
- Make it easier to report ASB
There is evidence to suggest a lack of support for tackling ASB. According to Resolve, 1 in 4 of us say that ASB made us feel unsafe where we live and 1 in 10 say ASB caused us to move home. We need guaranteed support for people suffering because of anti-social behaviour. It’s important that the Government clears the current backlog of cases in the justice system and that swift action is taken to provide justice for victims together with support. In a recent YouGov survey, 57% of ASB victims and witnesses said they didn’t report the ASB and that a lack of information surrounding how to report is a big factor in this.
The aim of the week is to raise awareness of the impact of anti-social behaviour and tackle the behaviour to find helpful ways to reduce ASB and better support victims of ASB.
Throughout ASB Awareness Week, running between 30th June and 6th July, there are lots of ways to get involved and support the aims of the campaign. You can find out more about the week and ways to strengthen its messages, here.
Across Birmingham there are citywide events this week in relation to ASB Awareness Week.

If you can’t get out and about or these events are not in your area then you might like to consider the Resolve Summit, a series of webinars on the themes from ASB Awareness Week, will also be running during the week. Free to access, you can register for the Resolve Summit, here.
