Dudley Retirement Scheme, Henry Court, Holds Garden Party

Residents at Nehemiah Housing’s Henry Court Retirement Scheme in Dudley came together for a wonderful afternoon of friendship, celebration and community spirit at this year’s Garden Party.

The event brought residents, staff and members of the local community together to enjoy delicious food, live music and a range of fun activities in the sunshine. Held alongside the Windrush celebration, the afternoon provided a fantastic opportunity for residents to socialise, make new connections and celebrate the diverse community that makes Henry Court such a welcoming place to live.

The Garden Party is part of Nehemiah Housing’s ongoing commitment to creating thriving communities where residents feel connected, valued and supported. Events such as these play an important role in tackling social isolation, promoting wellbeing and encouraging neighbours to spend quality time together.

The celebration also reflected Nehemiah Housing’s commitment to listening to residents. Through regular resident engagement, including the recent “You Said, We Did” feedback initiative, residents have helped shape improvements at Henry Court. Actions have included enhanced security measures, improvements to communal cleaning, increased communication, and continued work with partner organisations to improve services and the living environment.
