New Housing Project For Dudley

Posted on: 30 Sep 22

Nehemiah Housing Association has just completed its first new-build development project in recent times, and tenants have now moved into 21 new homes in Dudley.

Located near Vine Street in Brierley Hill, Dudley, the 2- and 3-bedroom houses were completed this month. The properties were built within a wider new housing scheme and as part of Nehemiah’s long-standing partnership with Midland Heart Housing Association.

“We are absolutely delighted with the 21 new homes and are happy to say they have all been let to local people through Dudley Council’s housing register. The 21 homes received hundreds of expressions of interest from local people through Dudley Council’s housing register service, proving, the need for more new social housing in the area.” says Llewellyn Graham, Nehemiah Housing Association Chief Executive.

“Having worked together with Midland Heart for a long time, we knew the new-build development would be a successful one.

“It’s great that our 21 homes are part of a bigger housing scheme that provide affordable and comfortable housing for the local people of Dudley – and that all are constructed to a very high standard thanks to main contractor Countryside.”

The 21 properties consist of 13 2-bedroom houses, of which 11 are mid or end terrace and 2 are detached, and 8 3-bedroom houses, of which 6 are mid terrace and 2 are semi-detached.

Llewellyn adds: “It was such a fantastic opportunity to be involved in this wider new housing scheme and build these houses. The properties are more than simply housing and are part of the Dudley community – our goal is always to build both comfortable and sustainable communities through our properties – and it’s lovely they are being let to people living in the local area.

“We hope that the individuals and families who have moved into these properties are happy and settled in their new homes – and we look forward to our next new-build development project.”
