Have Your Say: Help Shape the Future for Young People in Birmingham

Posted on: 15 Oct 26

At Nehemiah, we believe that every young person deserves the opportunity to thrive, have their voice heard and play an active role in shaping their future.

We are pleased to support Birmingham City Council in raising awareness of the draft Birmingham Youth Strategy 2027–2032 consultation, an important opportunity for young people, families and communities to influence the future of youth services, support and opportunities across the city.

The strategy aims to create a shared vision for improving outcomes for children and young people in Birmingham, ensuring that their experiences, aspirations and needs are at the heart of future decisions.

The Public Health, Children and Young People team at Birmingham City Council say their Youth Reference Group has already helped shape the draft strategy by sharing what matters most to them and the changes they would like to see for young people in Birmingham. They are now inviting more young people as well as parents, carers and professionals across the city, to help shape the final strategy. They want to understand whether they have identified the right priorities for young people.

Your voice matters!

Whether you are a young person, parent, carer, community member or professional working with young people, this is your opportunity to help shape the priorities that will make a real difference.

We encourage everyone across our Nehemiah community, including our partners and wider networks, to take a few minutes to complete the consultation survey and share it with others.
