An Update from Your Community Partnership & Engagement Team

Posted on: 21 Aug 26

We wanted to share an update with our tenants about the Community Partnership & Engagement Team at Nehemiah Housing Association.

After several years with Nehemiah, Marcia Cunnison, our Community Partnership & Engagement Officer, has left the organisation to begin a new adventure. We would like to thank Marcia for her hard work, dedication and contribution during her time with us, and we wish her all the very best for the future.

Continuing to support our tenants

We know that changes within a team can sometimes raise questions, so we want to reassure tenants that it is business as usual.

The Community Partnership & Engagement Team will continue to support tenants and communities as normal. Manjit Sanghera remains here to help tenants and will continue to be available to support community partnership, engagement and tenant-related activity.

We have also recruited a new member of the team, who will be joining us in early September.

Looking ahead

As part of their new role, our new team member will spend some time reviewing the Community Partnership & Engagement responsibilities. This will include looking at our approach to tenant engagement and tenant scrutiny, to make sure our work continues to reflect the needs and priorities of our tenants and communities.

This is an opportunity to build on the work already taking place and consider how we can continue to strengthen the ways tenants can get involved, have their voices heard and influence the services we provide.

Most importantly, nothing has changed for tenants

We want to be clear that there are no immediate changes to the support or engagement available to tenants.

The team will continue its work as normal while our new colleague joins and gets settled into their role. We will keep tenants informed as the review progresses and will share any relevant updates with you.

In the meantime, if you have any questions or would like to get involved with our community partnership, tenant engagement or scrutiny work, please get in touch with Manjit Sanghera on email haveyoursay@nehemiah.co.uk .

Thank you to all our tenants and community partners for your continued involvement and support.
